Today was a wonderful day because I can share with a science teacher and her group their performance in the classroom.
The interaction amount teacher and students were so good and funny. T he classroom management was class- class and the studenst answered yes-yes. Then, students be quiet and sit down.
I can saw there are many people from Mexico, Puerto Ricoand Marshall Islands in that school. The studenst speak Spanish, English and Marshallese.
A teaching technique was direct instruction teaching. The teacher gave the students the instructions to do one activity. Write clearly on board- learning goals.
A strategy that mrs. Joane used to increase students interest in reading and writing was students read books at their reading level.
When you mentioned that Mrs. Joanne had student read books at their reading levels, do you mean that (a) each student had books at his or her own reading level or (b) students had books that matched the reading level of the class?
